[blockquote author=""]If learning is something a student does to gain a specific skill than training is something a teacher does to make the learning process easier. In that sense we don’t teach anyone anything, we are here to support the student to gain the skills or solve the problem before him.[/blockquote]

ABOUT THE PROGRAMMES

CHILDREN

1. ANIMAL KINGDOM

Children get to meet all the animals on our farm – horses, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. They take part in our daily activities around animals – feeding, grooming, walking through the woods with the goats, milking, collecting eggs…Those interested can go for a guided walk through the woods on horseback. It is a memorable experience for children who love animals!

 2. WHERE DOES OUR FOOD COME FROM

First, we talk about soil, grains, and bread. Then we make our bread and pizza. During the weekend programmes, we also make cheese and do some gardening and walk around searching for edible wild plants. Through this programme, children get a better idea of where our food comes from and what is the taste of homemade food.

3. THE STORY OF WASTE

What is waste? How much waste do people produce? How can we reuse and recycle waste? We walk through the woods and clean the “trails“ people leave behind and from what we gather we make various usable things according to children’s ideas and wishes. Children learn about recycling and how to creatively reuse wasted materials.

4. FOREST THEATRE

Children are fascinated by juggling and walking on a rope. It’s fun and challenging, it increases dexterity and skilfulness. Children spend the day in the woods, fresh air and have loads of fun. All that they learn they can practice at home….

NOTE:

-              all programmes may last one day or several days

-              groups are from 5 to 15 children per group/programme

-              if there are more than 15 children per group they will be divided into smaller groups according to their interests

-              duration: 4 hours (each day) – morning or afternoon

*** we use 100% natural ingredients, which guarantees quality. You can choose the ingredients according to your needs and liking. What they’ll do to your sensory buds we cannot describe, you will have to feel for yourself!

3. SOURDOUGH BREAD AND PIZZA

Are you thinking about the quality of bread you eat every day? What are the ingredients, are they good for you and what may be the alternatives?

We bake our own bread, pizza and other baked products using sourdough. Sourdough is a natural and probably the first leavening agent. Dough leavening is caused by the lacto-bacterial cultures that occur naturally in specific conditions. Baked products made with sourdough have a lower glycaemic index, they are easily digestible and contain more minerals – thus are much healthier.

In this workshop we learn how to use sourdough, we make and bake our own bread and pizza. The idea is to show you how easy it is to bake your own bread and how fun and tasty it is.
