Animals

On our farm in Blatuša we have two dogs – Bebić and Bella, two horses – Vihor and Clea, goats Perna, Diana, Caramela and Quatro and their young, chickens, a rooster and a cat Pahuljica.

We have some ground rules on raising animals on our farm, and they go as follows:

•             It is our responsibility to meet the needs of each and every animal on our farm – food and water, adequate space for housing and movement, company

•             We do not raise animals for profit as we believe the nature of the animal-human relationship in that case ceases to exist

•             Before bringing a new animal to our farm we consider and think through if we are able to meet the number one rule for that animal – as that means taking responsibility for another life.

Apart from meeting basic needs for our animals we also take care of their emotional, psychological, mental and physical needs through Shiatsu therapy. The idea behind it was that we should be able to give back, primarily to horses, what they give us. But Shiatsu, as a holistic therapy can help every living being not just people or horses.
